Company ProfileHi! My name is Ken Bauerle and my wife, Wanda, and our daughter, Lynn Long, and I own and operate Hog Branch Harness. Some background on the shop - we started making harness over 15 years ago in Holden, LA, where we lived on a creek called Hog Branch. Over the years we have made only the Biothane® harness, using the material made by the Bioplastics Co. At one time people looked at "plastic" harness as only a product that was cheaper than leather. Today's domestically produced synthetics are not cheap substitutes for leather; they are a practical alternative, offering a broad range of advantages, including lightness, ease of maintenance, uniform strength, cut and abrasion resistance, cold weather flexibility, rot and odor resistance and best of all for the south is mildew resistance. You also have a breaking strength of 1000# per inch width. Contact Information
